These chips automatically compensate for transmission losses over long distances in CAT-5/6 or RG-59 cables without requiring any manual adjustments. The highest-performance model, the ISL59605, compensates for up to 60dB @ 5MHz of cable loss, sufficient to support high-quality video transmission over distances of up to 1 mile of CAT-5 cable or 6000 feet of RG-59 cable while delivering high-quality video. Integrated automatic cable type identification, polarity detection, and ±3dB source amplitude variation compensation significantly simplify engineering deployment.
